FAQ 01
Is AuditWalk an antivirus replacement?
No. AuditWalk is a system integrity workflow tool. It helps you establish a trusted baseline, detect drift, and review evidence-first outputs. It complements endpoint protection and other security controls rather than replacing them.
FAQ 02
Does AuditWalk upload my system data?
AuditWalk is local-first by design. Scans, baselines, compares, and report generation run locally unless you explicitly move outputs elsewhere.
FAQ 03
Why separate scan run and baseline confirm?
A scan records state. baseline confirm is the operator trust decision. Keeping those separate prevents accidental trust assignment and preserves a clear audit boundary.
scan run -> capture state
baseline confirm <scan_id> -> operator trust decision
FAQ 04
What is the difference between preflight run and compare run?
preflight run is a fast, targeted verification against confirmed baseline scopes. compare run performs a full drift comparison across the defined baseline scope.
preflight run --scope browser,system
compare run
FAQ 05
What platforms are currently supported?

FAQ 06
Is the desktop GUI available now?
Not yet. The desktop GUI is in development and is designed to follow the same baseline-first trust workflow as the CLI.
FAQ 07
Do active licenses include future GUI updates?
Yes. Active paid licenses include planned GUI releases at no extra charge during the license term.
